We should give more attention to sports than academics and make some plans to develop our skills in sports.

Kya India kabhi China ki tarah medal nahi layega?

After 28 long years India has won its glory in the Olympics. The landmark feat achieved by Mr. Abhinav Bindra is undoubtedly brilliant. It's now the time for the corporate world and media to concentrate on games other than cricket in the country.

It is great feeling that we won three medals in Beijing Olympics. Congratulations to all.

I think magazines should focus on the efforts of Chinese sportspersons to tell us how they could reach the top spot in medal tally? Their success story should be followed by the Indian sports authorities and they should try to get a respectable position in the tally by the next Olympics. Many poor and smaller nations get more medals than us. It's funny that we could get only one gold medal even after 60 years of self rule!

Why doesn't India participate in all the games in Olympics? Why aren't we good in all the sports? Why don't Indians qualify in the games? Is no one better than Bhupathi and Paes? Sportswomen from other countries tried hard to win medals but Sania Mirza didn't even try to win her match.

Hi Abinav, I had expected at least one gold medal from the Indian team in Beijing and you have fulfilled my expectation. Thank you very much. I was an athlete during my school days, but I couldn't get a chance to go to Olympics.

Congratulations Abhinav, I am so proud of you because you did it for India. I want to ask you that-Is the one gold medal enough for more than one billion of Indians? Please motivate more of Indian athletes to win more medals to get placed in the list of top 10 nations in medal tally.

-By Manvanter (manvanter@gmail.com)

Hearty wishes from Amritsar. Wow! You have done it.

-By Pavinder Singh (tej_asr@hotmail.com)

Thank you very much Abhinav. You really made India proud. Keep it up always and do help other athletes to come forward and do their best. I request you to help youngsters especially from villages who don't access the facilities and platform to show their merit to the world. There is no organisation which can work for them. So, I request you to do something for them.
